Jane Reister Conard
Chair - City of Sun Valley
Councilwoman Jane Reister Conard is one of the City of Sun Valley’s two representatives on the Board. She was appointed in February, 2015. Jane is a lawyer and a member of the California, Utah, and Idaho state bars. She is a health law consultant, arbitrator, mediator, and hearing officer focusing primarily on health law disputes. She was previously in-house counsel with Intermountain Healthcare, an integrated health care system in Utah and Idaho, for 26 years until her retirement in 2008. Jane and her husband Rick Maneval were married in the Sun Valley Lodge in 1985, bought their house in Crown Ranch in 1998, and finally became permanent residents of Sun Valley in 2011. Jane has always been involved in public service, having previously served on non-profit agency and legal service boards, and is pleased to have the opportunity to serve this community.
Vice - chair City of Ketchum
Kristin grew up in Bellevue, WA. and graduated from the University of Washington. Kristin moved to Sun Valley after college to teach skiing for one winter and has been here for 20 years. Her passion for skiing brought her here and her love of this little town kept her here. She loves many outdoor activities besides skiing, including fishing, golf, hiking and softball.
Kristin started working at Whiskey Jacques in 1995 where she tended bar for 16 years and managed it for 12 years. She used that experience to buy The Cellar Pub in 2008. Working in the service industry has allowed her to do all the things she loves to do and have free time to travel and experience other resorts. She is excited to be a part of the Mountain Rides Board and will use all these experiences to improve services for tourists and locals.
Secretary, City of Bellevue
Joe was the Recreation & Winter Sports Specialist for the Ketchum Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest retiring in 2014. He commuted from Bellevue to Ketchum on Mountain Ride's Valley Route almost every work day. An avid bicyclist, Joe rides home from work virtually every day the Blaine County Recreation District's Wood River Trail is snow free. Appointed to represent the Bellevue City Council on the Mountain Rides Board of Directors in 2012, Joe encourages everyone to try the many cheaper, greener, and healthier alternatives Mountain Rides offers to getting around the Wood River Valley without a car.
David Patrie first moved to the Wood River Valley in 1998 and has worn many hats in the community. After living in London from 2009-2011, David returned to the valley to become the Executive Director of the Blaine County Housing Authority.While in London, David had the opportunity to work on the design and construction of the City of London’s first two "cycle superhighways” which was designed to bring bicyclists into Central London from the surrounding areas. David has previously worked as a network technician for US West /Qwest and as a project engineer for Benchmark Associates in Ketchum. David and his family are committed to being a one-car family and regularly uses Mountain Rides and other alternative transportation options to keep that commitment.
City of Hailey
Becki Keefer is the City of Hailey’s representative on the Board. She has lived with her family for 40 years in the Wood River Valley, employed as a long-time bookkeeper for several local businesses. Avid hikers, she and husband Steve love to explore local summits and high places. In 1996, Becki became involved with Hailey’s long-term planning process, serving six years’ on Hailey’s Planning & Zoning Commission, the last three years as Chair. She then served three years as Chair of the Parks & Lands Board, transitioning into Parks Project Coordinator for the city, helping build the community’s recreation vision into actual parks, trails and recreational assets. A strong supporter of community-wide transportation choices and the many benefits of cleaner air, Becki looks forward to serving the community as part of Mountain Rides long-term success.
